Shadow play

Have a look at the lovely way Bonnie and Neil's shadow boxes have been used in the kitchen of this gorgeous Adelaide home. So simple yet effective. We've still got a couple of different styles in stock here at Sedonia. Made from Tasmanian oak that has been reclaimed from from houses across Victoria, these shadow boxes are a quirky and eco-friendly alternative to the standard floating shelf.

We also stock Bonnie and Neil's range of linen tea-towels, napkins, tablecloths and cushions. Pop in store to see our current range.

Lately...

Lots of lovely new things in store this week, including bright turquoise lamps, gorgeous hand-loomed towels from Hamamist, French cutlery from Laguiole, and soy candles from Paddywax. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates on new stock and our favourite pieces.

Comfy cushions and garden goodness

It's cushions galore here at Sedonia right now. These are just two of our beautiful new styles, in fresh spring colours and silky soft fabric. A new cushion has to be one of the easiest and nicest ways to brighten up your living room ahead of the warm weather to come.

Get into the garden with our range of garden tools and accessories. And when you're done, don't forget to wash your hands! We've got botanical soaps from France in spring vegetable scents - carrot, lettuce and artichoke.

Spring time at Sedonia

Spring has well at truly arrived here at Sedonia. The sun is shining and we've got loads of goodies to help you enjoy the outdoors in fresh spring style.

We're loving our new range of umbrellas from Basil Bangs in Sydney. Beautifully designed and engineered to the highest quality, these striking sun umbrellas will last you a lifetime. All umbrellas are made with marine-grade UV-protection fabric, and come in exclusive eye-popping prints, so you know you'll be sun-smart in style.

Also back in stock are the fantastic classic deck chairs from Ici Et La. Perfect for lazy days in the sun with a good book and good company.

Silks, stripes and prints

Here at Sedonia we are loving our new range of clothing, from Chalice, Petit Bateau and The Gently Unfurling Sneak. In beautiful cottons and silks, these will have you looking sharp through the last days on winter and on into springtime.

Pop in to check out the gorgeous selection of cotton tops and knitwear from Petit Bateau. In stripes and rich gem tones, these classic pieces will have you looking so Frenchy, so chic.

We've also got new silk pieces from Chalice and The Gently Unfurling Sneak. These come in beautiful muted tones and amazingly intricate digital prints.

Colour and Warmth

It seems like the forever winter and here at Sedonia we can't get enough of the soft, woolly, colourful and warm. Another parcel of beautiful Uimi scarves arrived today. They get better and better with each season. This year we have been reordering their two tone texture scarf in teal, cherry and charcoal.
We also love Uimi's zigzag texture scarf - seen here in teal. Wear it with one of Emily Green's necklaces for some eye-popping happiness.

Another house favourite, this time in cosy velvet, is the Marimekko cushion. It's sitting on a couple of snug throws from D-lux and Creswick woollen mills. Creswick also make the Alpaca socks we haven't left the house without on those freezing mornings.

As we post this the winter sun has come out and we can see the Jasmine about to open across the road,
sunny days ahead!

Trunk and Orderly

We have been patiently waiting for our Trunk and Orderly cases to arrive so that we can go visiting in old school style. Beautifully made, Trunk and Orderly's cases look retro but they are the REAL thing.
Each case is individually handcrafted in Ballarat by Joel Adams and crew using equipment he bought from the last generation of the Everlite Travel Goods Company. For the full story visit their website.

The weekender is perfect for traveling or storing stuff at home. It even has a lock that makes that satisfying clicking sound .

My favourite is the lunch case, big enough for lunch and your book/iPad and a drink bottle.

One step up from the Lunch case is the Kinder case, a sort of mini-me weekender. Big enough for a child's sleepover or day out. In the background you can see one of the storage sets, great for precious papers and accessories.

Pictured here is the three-seat sofa in grey wool felt - just perfect for those cosy afternoons in front of the fire.

And for the kitchen or dining room we have bright Bentwood chairs in red, yellow and white - a fresh take on an old classic.

Also new in stock are these winter shift dresses from our Finnish friends at Marimekko. In rich purples and mustards, these are sure to keep the winter blues away!

Bright things

We're loving all the brightness appearing at Sedonia , every week something new arrives to
ward off the grey days, at the moment we have Bonnie and Neil"s new range of gorgeous cushions in luminous greens, yellow and pink. our favourite is the beautiful tablecloth hanging in our front window.
Bright pink flowers leaves and butterflies printed on heavy linen. They also make great curtains.

If you haven't been in lately we have added to our lighting range, we now stock Muuto
pendant lamps in more colours and also the E27, a densely coloured flex with a big globe .(or as described below by Muutto)

" E27 is a celebration of a lamp’s essence, the socket. Enforcing a minimalist design agenda and attention to detail, Mattias StÃ¥hlbom has created a modern design icon that is both boldly characteristic and understated. E27 can be used as a single light source, in pairs, rows or even in clusters to create a modern Scandinavian chandelier."

What's the time?

Is it Summer or is it Autumn? It's the Melbourne we love and here at Sedonia we're telling the time on the Dimmey's clock by Blink.
We're also wearing this beautiful pure wool scarf by Lee Garrett, it's super light but warm enough for that unexpected cool breeze.

Lovely L'ascari

Made in Australia using soy wax, these Italian style candles have beautiful pure scents like Vanilla, Gardenia, Grapefruit and Persimmon, Coconut Lime and Verbena.... oh so yummy, but please do not eat, no matter how delicious they smell!

Whats For Dinner?

What are you cooking? Does it have anything special in it? Is it an old fashioned recipe? Maybe it was your Nanna's recipe? I made a Very Full Tart from the Ottolenghi cook book Plenty and it was delicious!

Japanese Tea Party

No, these aren't vintage Mikasa , They are from Japan and they are revival vintage style tea sets, milk and sugar anyone?

Simply Nice

The afternoon sun comes flooding in through the shop windows, school kids are trotting home, mothers and their babies in prams walk past, old people stroll by and cards roll down the road, it is a cloudy afternoon but there are nice things in here. I had a chat to a lady today about how relaxing it is to just look at nice stuff.
Well, here you go, sit back, relax, and look!
