Bats and Bones and Pirates

Well it is Halloween in the northern hemisphere, although it is a good excuse to dress up isn't it?... or dress some children up? or do some spooky craft? or buy some gruesome accessories? Yes?
Good, i'm glad you agree because although Sedonia may not seem to have a dark side, it turns out we do!

From the excellent ladies at Harvest we have Bat in a Bag! Sew your own little bat friend (there are also friendly owls and raining cloud sewing kits if that's more your thing)
For your little budding pirate or explorer or if you feel like covering yourself in temporary tattoos and leaving messages in bottles we have wonderful kits of compasses, sailing boats and other old fashioned maritime themed toys and games.
From Meow Girl, who is a clever lady from Sydney we have boney bracelets and necklaces that are wickedly loverly.
So there you have it, the Halloween low down from Sedonia... no Tricks just Treats!

Hats Off To You!

Travel Straw Hats by Hayden Longhurst are in store now. The Travel Straw hats are fabulous, as their name suggests, for travelling as they can be crunched and crushed up into your suitcase and then amazingly unpacked without a worry, they will never lose their shape. How Clever is That?

Elk have made some chic and stylish trilby and panama hats, they are unisex and perfect for those sunny days at music festivals, beach romps and park picnics... Ease back into a canvas deck chair, put some cider in a Willow esky, listen to Neil Young on a Sunday afternoon in your backyard and don a hat, I say!

The Simple Treasures

I have been bee stung on my finger by a bee, my dog got bitten by another dog and a thunder storm seems immanent this afternoon however I must simply remember some simple treasures; a bucket of bakers twine, mechanical khol pencils in fresh colours and wrapping paper that doubles as a paper doll game, little treats on grey afternoons are a few of my favourite things.

Nostalgically coloured childrens chairs have arrived at Sedonia. I feel like Goldilocks, these chairs are too small for me but there are certainly some little peeps who they would be just right for.

Cosy Toes

Go for a walk, get on the train, sit in the library, take a look at the ankles around you, is it not a nice suprise when you catch that little glimpse of a cute patterned sock between the cuff of jeans and the edge of a shoe? A nice woolly colour or perhaps one blue sock and one red sock? Suddenly, the world is sneaky and fun and you will be glad to know the fun sock people exist and are proudly supported by Sedonia.

Extremely Nice Kitchen Things

Getting ready for chilly autumn, I plan to spend lots of time in the kitchen baking bread and borsch and shortbread and lovely hearty tummy warming meals. Sedonia have plenty of lovely enamel kitchenware, old fashioned and useful as well as plenty of cleaning accessories, wooden spoons, cookie cutters, measuring spoons and oh so much more.

1.3.11

Scrubbing Day!

Pippi Longstocking's scrubbing day was a song and dance routine: sliding around with scrubbing brushes atatched to her feet. I wonder if Pippi used these lovely scrubbers, feather dusters and bottle brushes to keep her big old house clean. Sedonia is now stocking these German made Burstenhaus Redecker cleaning accessories to make rainy day cleaning a little bit chirpier.           Think Pippi!

Acacia Wood Kitchenware: Woodn't it be Nice?

I can just picture a paprika seasoned hommus in one of these bowls, or rolling out some naan dough with an acacia rolling pin, serving a rustic home made pizza on the pizza platter, or putting to good culinary use a solid acacia chopping board. These earthy, unique acacia wood home wares are in store now.
